we need S'MORES

"lets play s'more swords~ ummm... let's not!"

In "staycation" mode one of our fun treats this week was to get the fire pit going...

and have the kids roast up some s'mores.

Both boys loved it! This is the first year that the youngest little has been able to join us now that he has some knowledge of "hot" and "fire" and "ouch"~ and it went pretty well.

it went so well, that the next night he thought we could do it again....

and was very upset when it was discouraged...

but a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream seemed to distract him from his upset.
