Rainy day

The sky decided to cloud up and pour today, so in a need to keep two boys busy-we baked cookies.
The classic chocolate chip was the request- and in high demand.
I haven't posted a recipe in a while.... so here is our classic, that you would find in our cookie jar.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
~ combine in a medium bowl, stir, and set aside.

1 cup butter (room temp)
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
3/4 cup sugar
~use electric mixer and cream together, until light and fluffy.

Add in 2 eggs, and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract to butter mixture- and blend together.
gradually add flour mixture while beating on low speed.
add with a wooden spoon 1 cup chocolate chips.
drop a tablespoon of dough onto a cookie sheet- with 2 inches apart.

Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes.  Cool on sheet for 2 minutes. then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.... Enjoy!
