fallen in love with the swap!

as I left for vacation....
my box arrived from across the lake~

this Vintage Kitchen Swap was a fun one....
as I opened the box- squeals of excitement were heard from across the street!

just look at all this goodness......
each wrapped and with cute cherry notes.
::a sweet cupcake style note.
::cookbooks... with cordon blue meal planners...vintage 1960's ( the photos are really quite funny! and the instructions are basically an idiots guide to cooking a five course meal... which we all do! right!?!?!)
one about salads and the other about vegetarian entertaining (which I have already used!) both circa 1985 (the good years!)

::teeny, tiny pie/tart pans~ in red!!!!
::a small wooden pie crimper
::a fun cherry pot holder~ which I needed!
::and adorable red floral cloth napkins that are just delicate and bright!

but,
my favorite of all....
this amazing paper cutting done but the most talented paper cutter I know....
the sweet mousy brown, herself.
( in all honesty- I was hoping with all fingers and toes crossed I would get one!!!!
shhhhh! don't tell her!)
do you see the cutest little mouse running up up the side of the hutch.....
I have the perfect spot for this treasured artwork....
and am having it framed....

isn't it gorgeous? (you cant see its full glory because the photo was taken at night- but believe me~ its amazing!)
I bet you wished you got one too! teeheee!
thank you, thank you, thank you sweet Emily. My kindred spirit in Europe.

if you have never taken part of a swap~ I can tell you, they are the most creative way to make friends, meet other creative people and share your talents....
if you get an opportunity~ take it.
you will quickly fall in love with the swap!
