He is teaching us to listen.
In a solo visit (yes, that is right... all by myself) to California I sat with a friend at this unique coffee house in the city I was once young in.
I shared about my life....
things that this move to Portland has taught me...
as well as the love found in being a parent.
We shared tears, a cuppa, and the sunshine.... all in a few hours.

I read your friend's post too. My husband grew up in California too and the differences strike us every time we visit. I am so grateful to live where I do!!
