a lucky girl

can we say "spoiled"
this tired little girl gets everyone's attention.
and I think she likes it!

The day she arrived the kids and I made her homemade doggie treats. We put them in this great jar, and as she hears the lid come off, she is at your heels sitting pretty with ears perked up. She now knows if she goes "potty" outside, she gets a little treat as a thank you for not soiling our floors. She prances inside the door, sits, and waits for her "given rights" for a snack.
I am beginning to see that Pavlov was right.

our doggie treat recipe
2 1/2 cup whole wheat flour ( you can use brown rice flour too)
3/4 cup nonfat dry milk
1 egg
3/4 cup boiling water
2 tbs. organic brown sugar

Combine all ingredients in mixer.
Knead for 1 minute.
roll out on floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.
cut out shapes ( we like the bone shape and the squirrel shape)
bake at 300 for 30 minutes.
let cool completely, and then store in a jar.
