the table.

the deck is done.

the lights are amazing.

the evenings outdoors are my favorite.

but

as friends come into our home....

there is something missing.

the first thing I get is

"Where is your table?"

and I reply.... "outside on the deck."

the next question is expected.

"Why?"

and I reply simply~ "so that we use the outdoors more often"

you see, if we have this table outside, and not inside.... we have no choice to enjoy the backyard the open air, the opportunity to see things differently......

to use a space that can easily be forgotten.

It may not always be out there... but it could be.

right now- it is. and I like it.

my husband, with his little smartypants remarks, seems to think we should put a run down car without tires or an old toilet in the front just to set the full ambiance....

I just laugh him off...... and go outside to sit at my table.
