a night life!

well, as close to night as possible.... more like "dusk life".

The traditions ring again this year as the pot of chili and corn muffins are what's for dinner.
Then comes the havoc of "getting ready" for the festivities (what O would call his 2nd favorite holiday).
I know this is silly, but we are always one of the first ones out.....
I dont think it has to be pitch black to start the door to door. If we waited that long~ my youngest wouldn't go out at all (he's my scheduled sleeper- when it's sleepy time~ he is sleepy!).

::BEFORE::
O's hair was fun to do this year.
Whipped egg whites- the old school punk rock way of spiking hair!
turned out AWESOME!
then spray painted silver...
the color was just the frosting on the cake!
B's get ready was simple.... quick.... and we were out the door!
(it helps when this has been the same costume for the past 3 years.... really!)
::CUTE STORY::
B would go to the door and say "trick or treat" and then look into the candy dish, pick a candy, turn around and yell " Mom, I cant eat this, can I?".... turn back and then say "Thanks, see you later"... he did this ever time! each time I would giggle.... and giggle. It got to the point where he had to ask me to stop giggling. I just couldn't help it. He is just so cute! He has taken this whole "allergies" thing seriously..... and thinks nothing of it.
::AFTER::
the loot was a good haul this year!
now my job is to keep my hands out of it.....
How were your halloween hauntings?
