the random skein scarf is finished... and I have been snuggled in it all morning. WOW, I cannot believe how soft this scarf is.
when I finally finished it~ it was about 70 inches long and 8 inches wide. It makes for a wonderful wrap around scarf....I can get all sorts if styles out of it. (oh yea, and I cut my long hair to donate.... so my short hair is fun getting use to~ I always forget, and it seems to throw people off.... I had one of the boy's teacher ask me if I was visiting~ and I was there to weekly volunteer)
Its a simple pattern and I used 2 skeins ( I went out and bought another one) of the Lion's Organic Cotton in Mustard Yellow.
Pattern:
CO (using size 11 needles) 30 stitches.
row 1::knit 4, purl 1, knit 1 (repeat p1,k1 until 4 stitches left), knit 4
row2::knit 4, purl 1, knit 1 (repeat p1,k1 until 4 stitches left), knit 4
repeat row 1 and 2 until desired length.
Bind off.
basically... you knit 4, seed stitch, knit 4.
I have already figured out what to do with many of my other random skeins of worsted weight yarn.... and am excited to see if I can pull it off. It may look funky (but that is the fun of it all... right?!?!).... of course that is to be shared at a later date.
Gorgeous! (both of you! :D)
