cast off

I have loved making cowls.....
seriously ~ since I have started making them this fall.... I cant help but have another one started and ready to go.  For Christmas I made 5 of them as gifts for family..... overall, I think, I have made 9.  They are so comfy to wear, and so pretty!

This time I did the rib stitch, on some size 11/29inch round needles, with a casting on of 180. Knit 2, purl 2. until it was 8 inches wide.  I used a worsted weight yarn/ in a soft wool.... and the color is perfect for the person who is to receive it.
My husband was reluctant as a model- but, I distracted him while he was reading.... doesn't he look nice?

  of course, short sleeves and a cowl are not quite... hand in hand.... but you get the picture.....right?
