Success

so week one has been well received.
I am not sure how long it will last-
but I am glad they didn't complain all week.

Both boys have to: make bed, put dishes away, put clean clothes in drawers/dirty clothes in hamper, and clean room
Odin also: feeds fish, takes recycling out, and takes compost out, gets the milk order ready.
Bjorn also: brings mail in, and empties the bathroom trash.
they get a smile face when the chores are done, and then opportunities to earn allowances for additional money
(about 10 cents a chore- you may say "I am cheap"- I say "I am not a bank"!)...
they can vacuum, dust, fold laundry, empty dishwasher, help when needed with dad or mom.
with week one down- week two is in full swing!

  1. This doesn't have anything to do with chores...but where do you order your milk from? Thanks!!

  2. You are so good,I was never consistent enough to do the chore list thing. Instead I bark out orders. :)

  3. this is awesome. We never got paid to clean or get an allowance as kids. Now that our little O got a piggy bank for xmas, I've been paying him pennies and various change to (of all things) take a dump in the potty. He got constipated once and wouldn't go or even try to, so I told him I would give him change only if he would go #2 at least once every day. It's been 3 weeks now, I am hoping he will forget about it real soon.
